KIA soldiers of 1st Battalion under 3rd Brigade seized Burmese Army’s Mawswi post on Oct 15, 2011. Mawswi post is a strategically important army post located between
Loije and Nbapa. It is the second Burmese Army’s post KIA had successfully occupied in the past three days. KIA soldiers of 21st Battalion under 3rd Brigade seized 321st LIR’s Janmai post on Oct 12.
One year old Labya Shawng Lat was killed and his mother Lahtaw Kai Nan was wounded by wild and random fire unleashed by Burmese Army soldiers of Bamaw-based 47th LIB under MOC-21 at Pyin Oo Lwin block in Manje Township on Oct 14.
Fierce battles continue at Shwe Nyaung Pyin, Gara-yang and Dabak along Myitkyina-Laiza road. At least 4 Burmese Army soldiers were killed and 5 wounded on Oct 15, a front line source said.
